Watch: Discussion with Army Secretary Mark Esper

The Center for a New American Security (CNAS) hosted a discussion with Secretary of the Army Mark Esper on talent management and the Army's modernization strategy. The discussion, moderated by CNAS Senior Fellow Susanna Blume, focused on the Army's plan to increase soldier lethality and develop improved weapons and equipment. The Army published its modernization strategy and priorities on October 3, 2017, creating eight cross-functional teams to address the Army's six modernization priorities.
