Peter B. deNeufville

Peter deNeufville is an adjunct senior fellow with the Center for a New American Security. He also serves as Chairman of Voltaix, L.L.C., a manufacturer of chemical-vapor-deposition materials for the semiconductor and thin-film photovoltaic industries.  He is also a partner in DNAC, a New York-based merchant advisory firm.  He has helped finance and served as a director for a number of early-stage technology companies. 

Mr. deNeufville is also active in national security and environmental issues.  He is a reserve officer in the U.S. Navy and served on active duty in 2006-07 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.  He previously served in commands at the Office of Naval Intelligence and the Defense Intelligence Agency.  He previously served as a member of the RAND Corporation's Middle East Public Policy Advisory Board and formerly served as Senior Advisor to the U.S. International Broadcasting Bureau.  Mr. deNeufville received a B.A. from Tulane University and a Ph.D. from the University of London, where his thesis covered the 1970s inception of the anti-Communist insurgency in Afghanistan.
