Research Areas
Edoardo Saravalle is a former Researcher for the Energy, Economics, and Security Program at the Center for a New American Security (CNAS). At CNAS his work focused on the national security and foreign policy implications of energy market shifts and the use of sanctions and economic statecraft.
Prior to joining CNAS, Mr. Saravalle worked as an investment banker at Moelis & Company where he advised companies in the upstream, midstream, downstream and oilfield services sectors. Working in Moelis’s Houston office, he executed mergers, acquisitions, restructuring, debt and equity transactions in the oil and gas space. He has also worked at the American Enterprise Institute, the Foreign Policy Association and the Office of United States Congressman Jim Cooper (TN-05).
Mr. Saravalle holds a BA in History from the University of Pennsylvania where he graduated summa cum laude and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Born in Italy, he is a dual U.S.-Italian citizen and is fluent in both languages.
