Emily Tenuta
Development Coordinator
Emily Tenuta is the Development Coordinator for the Center for a New American Security (CNAS). Ms. Tenuta works closely with the Senior Vice President to support the Center’s corporate donor portfolio and Corporate Partnership Program.
Prior to joining CNAS, Ms. Tenuta was a research assistant for the William J. Perry Center for Hemispheric Defense Studies. While there, she collaborated with Professor Patrick Paterson on civilian-military relations in Colombia, International Criminal Court cases and Special Tribunals, and international humanitarian law as well as worked with former Diplomat in Residence, Ambassador Adam Blackwell, on U.S. Foreign engagement strategy and appropriations in Central America.
Ms. Tenuta earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Philosophy from Villanova University. Her academic interests include the ethics of war, international law, and political philosophy, and she is fluent in Spanish.
