 Eric Young is a Manager of Strategic Development in Boeing Network and Space Systems. In this role Young is responsible for developing growth strategies, performing market assessments, creating business plans, supporting transaction activities for mergers and acquisitions, and allocating internal research and development funding.

Prior to joining Boeing IDS, Young worked for Nissan North America in a rotational general management development program. His most recent assignment was as a vehicle program manager responsible for three truck programs totaling approximately $220M in development budgets.
During his tenure at Nissan, Young was mobilized to active duty for 14 months in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom as a reserve military intelligence officer. While working at Multi-National Force - Iraq in Baghdad, Young led an interagency team of intelligence analysts and advisors focused on improving the function of the Iraqi Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank of Iraq.

Young was formerly a mechanical engineer for both the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory and Lockheed Martin Skunk Works. While at JPL, Young worked on the Mars Exploration Rover project and was responsible for designing part of the airbag landing system. While at the Skunk Works, he worked on a variety of small unmanned air vehicle projects and holds several patents.

Young holds a M.B.A. from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Princeton University.
