Jaelin Lespier is the Joseph S. Nye, Jr. Intern for the Defense Program at the Center for a New American Security (CNAS).
Prior to joining CNAS, Ms. Lespier worked as an Executive Assistant and Resource Management Analyst at the Pentagon, supporting the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment.
Ms. Lespier graduated with honors from the University of South Florida in December 2017, with a B.A. in International Affairs, a minor in Economics, and a focus in Middle Eastern Studies. During her undergraduate experience, she interned with the Florida State House of Representatives and aided in drafting the state’s first successful piece of ridesharing legislation. She has studied Arabic and maintains a basic level of proficiency.
