Major Joe Bruhl is a Strategic Planner in the Army’s Security Cooperation Plans and Concepts Division with a portfolio including Irregular Warfare and Security Force Assistance.  Prior to this assignment, he served as an Apache Longbow Helicopter Company Commander with the 101st Airborne Division in Afghanistan.  Additionally, Joe served with the First Cavalry Division as a Platoon Leader and staff officer in successive deployments to Iraq in 2003 and 2004.  Joe holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Truman State University and Masters in Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School.  He currently lives in Arlington, Virginia with his wife, Katie and daughter, Emma.
