Michael Sellitto is a Foreign Affairs
Officer in the Office of the Coordinator for Counterterrorism (S/CT) at the
Department of State. where his portfolio includes supporting the nascent Global
Counterterrorism Forum. He previously covered US counterterrorism policy and
programs in the East Asia and Pacific region for S/CT.
Michael also served as a Political Officer
in the Office of Chinese and Mongolian Affairs. His portfolio covered China's
foreign relations, including North Korea and the Six Party Talks, Afghanistan,
Pakistan, and Iran, as well as bilateral law enforcement and counterterrorism
cooperation with China. Prior to joining the State Department, Michael was a
Presidential Management Fellow in the Directorate of Strategic Operational
Planning at the National Counterterrorism Center.
Michael holds a Master in Public Policy
from Harvard University’s Kennedy School, where he worked as a research
assistant at the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs. He earned
a Bachelor of Science from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of
Business.
