Shiva Maniam

Shiva Maniam is the Joseph S. Nye, Jr. Intern for the Publications Team at the Center for a New American Security (CNAS).
Prior to joining CNAS, Maniam interned at the Government Accountability Office (GAO), where he worked on a project that examined the Navy's shipbuilding process. Before that, he was at the Pew Research Center as a Research Assistant, where he conducted public opinion polling and demographic research on American politics, policy, and society.
He graduated from the University of Minnesota with a B.S. in Economics, B.A. in Political Science, and a minor in mathematics. As a student, Maniam participated in a study abroad program in Buenos Aires, Argentina and took classes on Latin American politics and society and Argentine history.
He is currently pursuing a M.S. degree in Public Policy and Management with a focus on policy analysis at the Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz College.
