Is the ‘Donald Trump of the Philippines’ all bluster?

As Philippines President-elect Rodrigo Duterte prepares to take office, some Americans are crossing their fingers that the so-called “Donald Trump of the Philippines” is all bluster — especially when it comes to the strategically important South China Sea.

Just the other day, he encouraged his citizens to kill drug dealers. “Please feel free to call us, the police, or do it yourself if you have a gun ... You have my support. Shoot (the drug dealer), and I'll give you a medal,” he said.
