A World of Proliferated Drones: A Technology Primer

By Kelley Sayler

Associate Fellow Kelley Sayler examines the proliferation of drones to states, non-state actors, and individuals. The report also outlines the various types of drones and what capabilities each enables, as well as the security implications – from cross-border operations to overmatch against U.S. forces – of a drone-saturated world.

The report is a project of the CNAS Technology and National Security Program and 20YY Warfare Initiative.
